Insolvency of Freedom Fighters shameful for state: HC
DHAKA, Dec 03, 2019 (BSS) – The High Court (HC) today said insolvency of
Freedom Fighters (FFs) is shameful for the state and the allowance they are
getting is their right.
A High Court division bench comprising Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury
and Justice Ahmed Sohel came up with the observation while declaring absolute
a rule issued on separate writs filed by 208 Freedom Fighters.
The court in its order directed authorities concerned to include those
Freedom Fighters into gazette within 90 days.
Barrister Md Toufik Inam Tipu took part in the hearing for the
petitioners, while Deputy Attorney General Amit Das Gupta stood for the
state.
