Gini for working to help disaster affected people
GAIBANDHA, Dec 3, 2019 (BSS) – Whip of Bangladesh Jatiya Sangshad Mahabub
Ara Begum Gini urged people for working to help natural disaster affected
people for mitigating their sufferings and sorrows.
Gini said this while addressing as the chief guest annual general
meeting of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), Gaibandha unit, held at
the hall room of Shah Abdul Hamid Stadium of the town here on Monday.
Whip Mahabub Ara Begum Gini also welcomed the newly elected members of the
unit and urged them to be more serious, sincere and active in discharging
their duties for the natural disaster affected people.
Deputy Commissioner Abdul Matin, police super Towhidul Islam, general
secretary of Bangladesh Awami League, district unit, Abu Bakar Siddique and
mayor of Gaibandha Municipality Advocate Shah Masud Zahangir Kabir Milon were
present at the event as the special guests.
Chairperson of BDRCS, district unit, and also chairman of Zila Parishad
Ataur Rahman Sarker presided over the function while secretary of the unit
Rezaul Karim Reza was the moderator.
Zila Parishad chairman Ataur Rahman Sarker Ata was elected chairperson of
the committee ex-officio while Shah Mainul Islam and Rezaul Karim Reza were
made vice chairman and secretary respectively of the unit for the term of
three years till 2022.
The other members are Advocate Shah Masud Zahangir Kabir Milon, Mridul
Mostafiz Jhantu, Farhad Rabbi, Ziaur Rahman Henry, Mozammel Haque, Sultana
Islam Dolley, Shah Ahsan Habib Razib and Rezaunnabi Razu.
