Four ABT militants remanded
DHAKA, Dec 2, 2019 (BSS) – A court here today placed four members of
banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) on a four-day remand each
in a case lodged under anti-terror act.
The four accused are- Masum Miah, Abu Bakkar Siddique alias Emran,
Rakibul Hasan alias Siam and Monirul Islam alias Faruk Ahammed.
Investigation officer (IO) and Khilkhet Police Station sub-inspector
Ripon Kumar produced the four before the court today and pleaded to place
them on 10-day remand. After hearing the plea, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate
Mahmuda Akter placed them on a four-day remand.
RAB arrested the four from Nikunjo area under Khilkhet Police Station on
December 30 and recovered huge jihadi books, leaflets, digital contents and
mobile sets from their possessions.
