Bangladesh suffer shocking defeat to Bhutan in SAG

KATHMANDU, Dec 2, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Olympic football team suffered a shock solitary goal defeat against Bhutan in their opening match of 13th South Asian Games held on Monday at Dasarath Rangasala Stadium here.

Despite a barren first half, it was an entertaining display by as both the teams launching attacks and counter attacks.

But it was Chencho Gyeltshen who made all the difference scoring the all important goal for Bhutan in the 65th minute of the match.

In the remaining proceeding, Bangladesh however tried to stage a fight back creating some scoring chances but failed to convert those into a goal due to lack of proper finishing.

Bangladesh will play their second match against Maldives on December 4, meet Sri Lanka on December 5 and play their last match against host Nepal on December 8.

The top two teams will lock horn in the final scheduled to be held on December 10 at t he same venue.
