China-USA firm to invest $3.46m in Ishwardi EPZ
DHAKA, Dec 1, 2019 (BSS) – A China-USA jointly owned company, Ms Oscar Bangla Company Limited, will invest US$ 3.46 million to set up a wig and hair related product manufacturing plant in Ishwardi Export Processing Zone (EPZ).
This fully foreign owned company will produce annually 31.5 million pieces of wig and hair related products and 1500 Bangladeshi nationals will get employments in this factory, said a press release.
In the presence of Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA) Major General S M Salahuddin Islam, BEPZA and Ms Oscar Bangla Company Limited inked an agreement at BEPZA Complex in the city recently in this regard.
BEPZA Member (Investment Promotion) Zillur Rahman and Managing Director of Ms Oscar Bangla Company Limited Sha Shi Jun signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
BEPZA Member (Engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, Member (Finance) Mizanur Rahman, General Manager (Public Relations) Nazma Binte Alamgir and General Manager (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Md Tanvir Hossain were also present at the signing ceremony.
