DHAKA, Dec 1, 2019 (BSS) – The High Court today ordered authorities
concerned to ensure providing necessary assistance including manpower and
logistic help in running mobile courts across the country.

A High Court division bench comprising Justice M Enayetur Rahim and
Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman passed the order while holding hearing on a
matter of supplying certified copy of mobile court order to person convicted
by it within five working days.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) executive magistrate Md Sarwar Alam today
appeared before the court following its order and informed that the operation
of mobile court is getting severely hampered due to the shortage of manpower.
After hearing the matter, the High Court came up with the order.

The High Court on October 29 ordered mobile court authorities to supply
certified copy of its order to person convicted by it within five working
days. Following the order, a convict filed a writ on November 17, saying he
did not receive the certified copy of the order against him, even after
passing of four months.

The High Court after that on November 18 asked concerned mobile court
magistrate Md Sarwar Alam to appear before it today and explained the matter.

Today lawyer Masud Hasan Chowdhury appeared for Sarwar Alam and offered
unconditional apology. Attorney General Mahbubey Alam and Deputy Attorney
General Amit Talukder stood for the state.
