Missing boy found dead in Gopalganj
GOPALGANJ, Nov 30, 2019 (BSS) – Police recovered the body of a six-year-old
boy from a pond in Sadar upazila of Gopalganj on Saturday morning, two days
after he went missing.
The deceased was identified as Joy Biswas, son of Dharmendra Biswas, a
resident of Roghunathpur village in the upazila.
Quoting family members, Gopalganj Sadar Police Station officer in-charge
(OC) Monirul Islam said the boy went out of the house on Thursday afternoon
for playing but did not return home at night.
The victim’s father lodged a general diary (GD) with the Police Station in
this connection.
Locals spotted the floating body of the boy in a pond close to his house
this morning and informed police.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Gopalganj General Hospital
morgue.
The reason behind the killing is yet to be ascertained, the OC added.
