JS Speaker returns home from France
DHAKA, June 4, 2018 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury returned home from France today after attending a conference on Rohingya issue in Paris there.
France-Bangladesh Parliamentary Friendship Group organized the conference titled ‘International Conference on the Rohingya situation in Myanmar and Bangladesh’ at the National Assembly in Paris on Friday, said an official release here.
The JS Speaker attended the conference at the invitation of France Parliament and addressed it as the chief discussant, the release added.
She also exchanged views with experts on Rohingya issue during the conference.
During her visit, Dr Shirin Sharmin met the first vice president of France National Assembly Madame Carol Bureau Bonnard.
Senior Secretary of the Parliament Dr Md Abdur Rob Howlader and senior officials of the Parliament Secretariat welcomed the Speaker at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here in the morning on her return from France.
