Bourses extend upward vibe

DHAKA, Nov 28, 2019 (BSS) – Country’s premier bourse, Dhaka Stock
Exchange (DSE) closed the week continuing the winning streak with marginal
gain.

The broad index, DSEX closed at 4731.43 points on Thursday with a gain
of 1.08 points or 0.02 percent.

Besides, the two selective indices, Blue Chip index, DSE30 and the
Shariah index, DSES went up marginally by 1.37 points and 0.18 points to
settle at 1647.70 points and 1082.16 points respectively.

On the DSE trading floor, a total number of 129,128 trades were executed
in today’s trading session with a trading volume of 187.64 million
securities.

Gainers took a strong lead over the losers as out of 343 issues traded,
162 securities gained price while 131 declined and 50 remained unchanged.

The top 10 gainers were Alif Manufacturing, LafargeHolcim Bangladesh,
Bangos, Metro Spinning, Fu-wang Ceramic, Zaheen Spinning, Yeakin Polymer,
Family Tex, Paramount Textile and Makson Spinning.

Fortune Shoes topped the turnover chart followed by National Tubes,
Square Pharma, Paramount Textile, Lankabangla Finance, Kattali Textile,
LafargeHolcim Bangladesh, Dorin Power, Alif Manufacturing and Premier Bank.

The top 10 losers were ML Dying, National Tubes, Power Grid, Silco
Pharma, Shepherd Industries, S Alam Cold Rold, Matin Spinning, Meghna
Petroleum and ICB Employees Provident Mutual Fund 1 Scheme 1.

On the other hand, the port city bourse, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE)
also closed at green maintaining the winning streak of the previous day.

CSCX and CASPI went up by 7.96 points and 11.83 points to stand at
8743.36 points and 14392.43 points respectively.

At CSE, a total of 12,236,470 shares and mutual fund of 250 companies
were traded, of which 118 issues advanced while 105 declined and 27 issues
remained unchanged.
