UK keen to invest in power, railway sectors

DHAKA, Nov 28, 2019 (BSS) – The United Kingdom (UK)-based IM Power and Ten Broeke Company Limited today expressed their keenness to invest in the country’s power and railway sectors.

A five-member delegation, led by IM Power Chairman Gordon J Dickie and CEO Elena Baranova and Managing Director of the Ten Broeke Company Paul E Tweedale, expressed their keenness while meeting with Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Md Sirazul Islam at his office in the city, said a press release.

During the meeting, the delegation lauded Bangladesh for its’ continues development and expressed their keenness to invest in the power transmission to railway connectivity and LNG sectors.

Sirazul Islam said Bangladesh’s economy is moving forward under the prudent policy and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

“For development, demand of environment-friendly power will be created more in future. After inauguration of Padma Bridge, communication system will be changed radically through establishing railway connectivity from Payra Port to Cox’s Bazar via Dhaka,” he added.
