BAF-COLOR-AWARD
BAF colour awarded to different units and squadrons
DHAKA, Nov 17, 2019 (BSS) – Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force
(BAF) Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat today awarded BAF Colour to
21-squadron, 2-field unit and 2-provost and security unit of BAF at BAF Base
Zahurul Haque in Chattogram.
During the colour Award Ceremony, Chief of Air Staff witnessed a parade,
commanded by Group Captain Abu Zafar Mohammad Hasan, at the parade ground at
the base, said an ISPR press release.
In his speech, the Chief of Air Staff paid homage to Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all the members of BAF for their
relentless effort and sacrifice for which BAF is standing in its present
form.
The Chief of Air Staff recalled the valiant contribution of the members of
Bangladesh Air Force during the liberation war.
Chief of Air Staff mentioned that members of 2-Squadron, 2-Field Unit and
2-Provost and security unit have a glorious history of protecting
sovereignty, building nation and building up the Nation’s offensive
capability in the air.
He also urged upon everyone to extend their full effort to implement and
materialize the Prime Minister’s “Vision-2041”.
Among others, Principal Staff Officers of BAF and other members of
Bangladesh Air Force were present on the occasion.
As recognition, National Standard Award was handed over to BAF Base Zahurul
Haque by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in 2014 for all versatile
contributions.
In line with this, the Chief of Air Staff said Squadron and Units of BAF
were awarded with BAF colour as recognition of their contributions to the
implement “Forces Goal-2030”, the release added.
