DINAJPUR, Nov 27, 2019 (BSS) – A court here today sentenced a woman to life term imprisonment for murdering her husband in Sadar upazila in 2011.
District and Session Judge Md Anowarul Haque handed down the verdict to Dolly Begum, 30, hailed from Chowghoria village in the upazila.
According to the prosecution, on November 4 in 2011 Dolly stabbed her husband Sajjad to death at night at their home.
Following the murder of Sajjad, his elder brother Shoriful Islam filed a case. Police pressed the charge sheet accusing Dolly after investigation.
Testifying all the witnesses and evidences, the court gave the order pronounced the judgment in presence of Dolly Begum. She was also fined Taka 10000, in default, she will have to serve one year more in the jail.
