Mobile court punishes 15 for taking drug in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Nov 27, 2019 (BSS) – An anti-drug mobile court consisting
of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) here yesterday awarded different jail terms
and fined to 15 people on charges of taking drug.
The mobile court was conducted by three executive magistrates with the
assistance of Chapainawabganj camp of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).
Company Commander of the Chapainawabganj camp of RAB-5 Assistant
Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sajal Kumar Sarkar said an operation team of
the RAB-5 along with himself and executive magistrates Md Saiful Islam,
Mohammad Robin Mia and Khadija Begum conducted the drives at different places
of Sadar upazila on Tuesday night from 10 am till 8 pm and nabbed 15 people
while they were taking hemp, wine and pethidine.
The mobile court fined and jailed them on different amount and terms, the
ASP added.
