DHAKA, Nov 26, 2019 (BSS) – A two-day ‘Armed Forces Income Tax Fair-
2019′ started today at the city’s Sena Malancha convention hall aiming to
facilitate tax services to the armed forces’ members.
Tax Zone-9, Dhaka, of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) and the Armed
Forces Division (AFD) are jointly organising the tax fair with a view to
promoting income tax culture, said an ISPR press release.
NBR Chairman Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan inaugurated the fair as the
chief guest while Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Logistics) Rear Admiral M
Lokmanur Rahman was present as the special guest.
At the fair venue, tax officials has been offering various tax-related
services, including taxpayer identification number (TIN) registration, return
submission and consultancy.
The fair would be open every day from 10 am to 4 pm.
Earlier, the NBR organised a week-long national income tax fair across
the country from November 14 to 20.
