CHATTOGRAM, Nov 25, 2019 (BSS)-BNP central leader and industrialist Shamsul Alam was arrested today for misappropriation of Tk 15 crore from a company.
According to the court warrant, EPZ thana police arrested him from his Goalpahar office this afternoon.
Earlier, Megna Group of Industries filed two separate cases against Shamsul Alam, also Managing Director of MEB group (Mrs Elias Brother’s), with Dhaka court for misappropriating Tk 15 crore.
The concerned court issued arrest warrant against BNP central committee member Shamsul Alam in a case filed in 2014.
Shamsul Alam took part in the 2008 Jatiya Sangsad election in 2008 as a BNP nominee from Kotwali constituency, but was defeated.
