3 JMB men arrested in city
DHAKA, Nov 25, 2019 (BSS) – Three members of the banned Islamic militant
outfit Jamaatul Mujahidin Bangladesh (JMB), including its ‘ameer’, were
arrested from the city’s Bhatara area.
Special Action Group of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime
(CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested the JMB members by
conducting a special drive on Sunday night in the city’s Syed Nagar area
under the Bhatara police station, CTTC unit Chief Monirul Islam said at a
briefing at the DMP media centre in the city today.
The arrestees are JMB ameer Abu Raihan alias Mahmud Alais A Hadi, Md
Habibur Rahman alias Chan Mia and Rajibur Rahman alias Rajib alias Sagar.
Police recovered 150 detonators, jihadi books, one knife and 20 pieces
of explosives from their possession, Manirul said.
