Kujendra Lal preisdent, Nirmalendu gen sec of Khagrachari Awami League
KHAGRACHARI, Nov 24, 2019 (BSS) – Kujendral Lal Tripura, MP and Nirmalendu Chowdhury have been made president and general secretary respectively of Khagrachari district Awami League (AL) for next three years.
The official announcement of the newly elected president and general secretary was given during the second session of the triennial conference of Zilla Awami League today at the district’s zilla stadium.
Earlier this morning, AL Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif formally inaugurated the conference.
Identifying corruption as the major obstacle on way to development and economic freedom of the people, Hanif said “The ongoing anti-graft drive will continue both inside the party and outside it to make the zero tolerance policy against corruption successful”.
Kujendral Lal Tripura presided over the function.
Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing, Deputy Minister of Water Resources AKM Enamul Haque Shamim, AL Deputy Press and Publication Affairs Secretary Aminul Islam Amin and Awami League’s Deputy Office Secretary Biplob Barua also spoke, among others, on the occasion.
