7 dwelling houses gutted in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Nov 24, 2019 (BSS) – A total of seven dwelling houses were gutted as a fire broke out at Muradpur area village under Sitakunda upazila of the district early today.
Koshru Hossain, station officer of Sitakunda Fire Service and Civil Defense said the fire originated from an electric short-circuit at a dwelling house in the area around 4.45 am and quickly engulfed the adjacent houses.
Two firefighting units from Sitakunda areas rushed to the spot and brought the flame under control around 6.12 am.
One of the victim Abul Kashem and local fire service official claimed that the fire burned properties worth about Taka eight lakh, Koshru added.
