KU day tomorrow
KHULNA, Nov 24, 2019 (BSS) – Students, teachers and employees of Khulna
University (KU) to celebrate 29th university day tomorrow in a befitting
manner, says a KU press release today.
To observe the day, the KU authorities have chalked out different
programmes.
The programmes include processions, academic fair, discussion, cultural
events and candlelight vigil.
Academic fair will be open for all as each department will exhibit their
achievements in their respective fields.
KU important buildings, dormitories, roads and main gate will be decorated
with colorful lights.
KU started its academic activities formally on November 25, 1991 with four
Disciplines under two Schools, said Atiar Rahman, Acting director of public
affairs and publication department of KU.
The university had only 80 students and 30 teachers at the time of its
inception.
But now it has over 7,000 students and 500 teachers in 29 Disciplines
under eight Schools and two Institutes, he added.
