800 farmers get incentives in Sherpur
SHERPUR, Nov 23, 2019 (BSS) – A total of 800 marginal and small farmers of
Sreebardi upazila here today got agricultural incentives like seeds and
fertilizers from DAE.
Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) distributed the agri-incentive
at a function held on Sreebardi upazila agriculture office premises this
noon.
With Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nilufa Akhter in the chair, Upazila chairman
ADM Shohidul Islam attended the function and distributed the incentives as
the chief guest.
Under the programme, each marginal farmers got one kilogram of maize seed,
20 kilograms of DAP and 10 kilograms of MOP fertilizer free of cost for
cultivation maize.
Agriculture Officer Nazmul Hasan, Shajahan Kabir, Upazila vice-chairman
Juel Akand, Jubo League leader Abdul Quader and Upazila Information Services
Officer Mouri Akhter spoke among others.
