70 gold bars seized at Ctg airport
CHATTOGRAM, Nov 22, 2019 (BSS) – Members of customs intelligence and
investigation seized 70 gold bars worth about Taka 4 crore from a flight of
Salam Airlines at Shah Amanat International Airport here this morning.
On a tip-off, the officials recovered the gold bars, weighing 8.17 kg,
from the toilets of the flight in an abandoned condition which came from
Muscat of Oman at 11:45 am, said airport manager wing commander Sarwar-E-
Zaman.
Legal action is being taken according to the customs law, he added.
