D Money wins eASIA Awards 2019
DHAKA, Nov 21, 2019 (BSS) – Local digital payments and services platform D Money has won “eASIA Awards 2019″ for the contribution to digital transformation and tech ecosystem in Bangladesh.
The award ceremony was held today in Thai capital Bangkok organized by the Asia Pacific Council for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (AFACT), where global FinTech experts, investors, high officials and technology decision makers from Asia were present, said a press release received here today.
Asian tech giants from 24 countries participated in the competition and a 13-member evaluation committee selected the winners.
AFACT organized the eASIA awards aiming raise awareness regarding digital transformation, promoting the achievement of AFACT member countries/economies in the development of trade facilitation, electronic business policies and activities, and initiatives for bridging the digital divide in the Asia Pacific Region.
The eASIA Awards were presented in four categories– Trade Facilitation and eCommerce, Digital Transformation (Public Sector), Digital Transformation (Private Sector), and Creating Inclusive Digital Opportunities in this edition.
In August 2019, APAC Business Headlines Magazine featured the Dmoney wallet among the “10 most convenient wallets to watch in 2019”, making it the only wallet from South Asia to be successfully placed in the top 10.
D Money started its operation with an aim to address digital inclusion. This platform works build a partner based ecosystem, and to resolve cash-to-digital transformative barriers.
Sonia Bashir Kabir, Co-Founder, Vice Chairman and CEO of D Money said they have worked very hard in building robust tech platform and expressed excitement for getting global recognition.
