JS body for widening roads with Dhaka-Khulna highway
DHAKA, Nov 21, 2019 (BSS)-The Estimates Committee of the Jatiya Sangsad today recommended taking up projects for widening the roads connected with the Dhaka-Khulna highway.
The committee made the recommendation at its 5th meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with Committee Chairman Md. Abdus Shahid in the chair.
Committee members Chief Whip Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury, Yusuf Abdullah Harun , A B Tajul Islam, Fazle Hossain Badsha and Ahsan Adelur Rahman were present, said a press release.
The meeting discussed the ongoing, proposed and renovated projects of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and the Roads and Highways Department in the fiscal year 2018-19 and 2019-20.
The committee recommended presenting details of the project on setting up a Community Nursing Degree College for women in Dhaka at the next meeting, it added.
It was told at the meeting that the Women and Children Affairs Ministry and its affiliated departments have been implementing 23 projects under the revised annual development program for the fiscal year 2018-19, the release added.
Concerned officials of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, the Roads and Highways Department and Parliament Secretariat were present at the meeting.
