Sylhet tax fair ends with TK 45.78 crore collection
SYLHET, November 21, 2019 (BSS): The week-long tax fair ended here today with
collection of TK 45.78 crore from 20,254 taxpayers from different taxes
zones.
A total of 38,631 persons received service related income tax facilities
while 1,863 persons have opened Electronic Taxpayer Identification Number
(E-TIN) at the fair venues, said Commissioner of Taxes Zone, Sylhet Ranjit
Kumar Saha.
‘We are working to create more files of 40 thousands new taxpayer in
Sylhet division and five thousands have already connected to tax net this
year’, he added.
The tax fair was held in Sylhet, Sunamganj, Habiganj and Moulvibazar
districts and also in Gulapganj, Balaganj, Chatak, Sreemangal and Kulaura
Upazilas under the Division.
