Five Thahrir men on 3-day remand
DHAKA, Nov 18, 2019 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today placed five alleged activists of the banned militant outfit Hizb-ut Tahrir on a three-day remand each in a case filed against them with city’s Uttara West Police Station here.
Metropolitan magistrate Md Atiqul Islam granted the remand.
Earlier they — Kazi Ebadur Rahman alias Tanvir, 36, Md Nasid Kamal Sajib, 27, Md Jamiur Rahman Kahn alias Akash , 22, Yamin Hossain, 18, Jasim Uddin alias Sayeed — were placed before the court by Uttara police seeking a seven-day remand for quizzing.
Anti-crime elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested them from the sector-7, Uttara, on Sunday night in connection with the militant activities.
