Case filed, inquiry teams start probing in Ctg gas explosion
CHATTOGRAM, Nov 18, 2019 (BSS)- A case was lodged today with Kotwali thana against two persons allegedly involved with the death of seven persons in city’s Barua Building of Patherghata.
Shahana Begum, wife of a deceased rickshaw puller, lodged the case against two persons with the police station.
Mohammad Mohsin, Officer in-Charge of Kotwali thana, confirmed the murder.
Meanwhile, the two investigation teams, one from Chattogram district administration and another from Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited, have started functioning and visited the place of occurrence today.
A five-member probe body of the district administration led by additional district magistrate AZ Sharif Hossain visited the place of occurrence this morning.
On the other hand, another four-member probe body of Kharnaphuli Gas Distribution Company headed by its GM (Engineering Service) Engineer Mohammad Sarwar Hossain also visited the spot. .
At least seven people, including a child, were killed and 15 others injured in the gas pipeline explosion that took place in a house in city’s Patharghata area yesterday .
