DHAKA, Nov 18, 2019 (BSS) – Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Md
Atiqul Islam today conducted a campaign with a view to creating awareness
among the pedestrians over safe road crossing.
The mayor conducted the campaign in front of Green Herald School at Asad
Avenue of Mohammadpur here.
Founder of `Nirapad Shorok Chai’ and film actor Ilias Kanchan attended
the campaign.
They distributed leaflets to pedestrians and drivers to make themselves
aware of the new transport laws.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Atiqul Islam told the journalists the
government has enacted the new law to ensure road safety hoping that the
countrymen would comply with the law.
Ward Councilor Nazrul Islam Ratan, DNCC Traffic Engineer, circle
officers and high officials of Police were present at the awareness campaign.
