DHAKA, Nov 18, 2019 (BSS) – Taka over 2.50 crore has been collected
through mobile banking from around 3,500 taxpayers at the first five-day of
the income tax fair.
For the first time, National Board of Revenue (NBR) has introduced the
mobile banking services for paying tax through using the all mobile banking
wallets, including Rocket, bKash, Upay, Nagad and SureCash.
In this regard, NBR Member Kanon Kumar Roy said NBR has launched the
mobile banking services so that the taxpayers can pay their tax easily.
After paying tax through mobile banking, he informed, NBR is issuing an
invoice through email and the taxpayers are submitting the invoice with their
income tax returns.
The week long fair has begun from November 14 at all divisional cities,
including Dhaka, across the country.
Besides, the fair is also being held in all districts and upazilas.
