50-day training for horizon community begins in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, Nov 18, 2019 (BSS) – A 50-day training for the horizon
community began at the hall room of Social Service office here today.

District office under the Department of Social Services (DSS) is
organizing the training under the programme of Living Standard Improvement of
Bede and under-advanced Mass Communities funded by government of Bangladesh.

Rangpur divisional director of DSS Abu Saleh Muhammad Musa Jangee
addressed the function as the chief guest with deputy director of DSS Emdadul
Haque Pramanik in the chair.

Assistant director of the department Kamrul Hasan Sarker and town social
services officer Mizanur Rahman Mollick also spoke at the function, among
others.

Abu Saleh said the present government has taken various projects for the
horizon community to improve their living standard.

He asked the trainees to complete their trainings on different trades
properly and utilize acquired knowledge in income generating activities.

A total of 50 females of the horizon communities are taking part in the
training.
