PSC, Ebtedayee exams begin on Nov 17

DHAKA, Nov 14, 2019 (BSS) – Primary School Certificate (PSC) and Ebtedayee
Examinations-2019 will begin on November 17 (Sunday) across the country with
the participation of 29,03,638 examinees.

As many as 25,53,267 examinees are appearing for the PSC examinations
while 350,371 students are participating in Ebtedayee examinations this year,
State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossen said this while
briefing journalists about the examinations at his ministry office here this
afternoon.

Primary and Mass Education Secretary Md Akram-Al-Hossain and Director
General of the Directorate of Primary Education Dr AFM Manzur Kadir, among
others, were present at the press conference.

Zakir said among the PSC examinees, 11,81,300 are male and 13,71,967
female while 350,371 Ebtedayee examinees comprise with 187,082 male
candidates and 163,289 female.

He said the PSC and Ebtedayee examinations will be held in 7,470 centres,
including 7,452 in the country and 12 abroad. The examinations will continue
till November 24.

A total of 3,347 PSC and 236 Ebtedayee differently able students would
appear in the examinations this year.

The state minister said the authorities concerned have taken adequate
measures to hold the examinations peacefully with transparency.
