Two food factories fined Taka 55,000 in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, June 2, 2018 (BSS) – Two food factories were fined Taka 55,000
here today on charges of manufacturing and selling unhygienic and sub-
standard food items.
A team of Department of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP)
conducted a raid at BSCIC Industrial Estate in the city and found Keramat
Rice Mills and SH Industries guilty of manufacturing food item and possessing
and selling those in unhygienic condition.
Subsequently, the team fined the factories Taka 50,000 and Taka 5,000
respectively and realized the fine instantly.
Apurba Adhikary, Assistant Director of DNCRP, said such drive against the
violations of consumers’ rights will be continued.
