ACC files charge sheet against 4 in Sylhet
DHAKA, Nov 12, 2019 (BSS) – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today
filed charge sheet against four including former deputy director of Sylhet
MAG Osmani Medical College (SOMC) Dr Md Abdus Salam in a case filed over
embezzlement of Taka 1.57 crore.
Investigation officer (IO) and ACC assistant director Mhbubul Alam filed
the charge sheet before a Sylhet court today, a press release said here.
The other accused in the case are- proprietor of Prime Enterprise Md
Jakir Hossain, SOMC former accountant Md Abdul Quddus and one Arif Ahmed of
Faridganj, Chandpur.
According to the case documents, the accused embezzled the money by
though forgery and misusing their power in name of supplying different goods
to the hospital in 2015-16 fiscal.
ACC filed the case with Kotwali Police Station in Sylhet on May 24, 2018.
