DoE fines Tk 3.50 lakh to Saleh Steel in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Nov 12, 2019 (BSS) – Department of Environment (DoE),
Chattogram fined Taka 3.5 lakh to Saleh Steel Industries Limited in city’s Biyazid area for polluting environment by releasing excessive unrefined smoke in the air.
Director of DoE, Azadur Rahman Mallik pronounced the penalty after hearing
at DoE office today.
DoE Director told BSS that Saleh Steel breached the terms and conditions
of steel rerolling mills by releasing black smoke.
