Myanmar, Spain trade hits 190 mln USD in FY 2017-18
YANGON, June 2, 2018 (BSS/Xinhua) – Bilateral trade between Myanmar and
Spain amounted to 190 million U.S. dollars in fiscal year 2017-2018 which
ended in March, the official Global New Light of Myanmar reported Friday.
During the period, the country’s export reached 169 million U.S. dollars
while its import value was 21 million U.S. dollars.
The bilateral trade between Myanmar and Spain totaled 109 million U.S.
dollars in fiscal year 2016-2017.
Myanmar mainly exports aquaculture products, garments, coffee, tea leaves
and agricultural products to Spain while importing cosmetics, food and
beverages, transport equipment, machinery and consumers goods.
Meanwhile, Myanmar attracted some investments from Spain mainly into the
country’s petroleum and natural gas enterprises, hotels and tourism, firms,
manufacturing and transport sectors and livestock businesses.
