Cop dies in Khulna road accident
KHULNA, Nov 11, 2019 (BSS) – A constable was killed in a road accident
that took place in front of Debipur Women College under the Rupsha upazila of
the district this morning.
The deceased identified as Md. Nazrul Islam, 40, was a resident of Naihati
village under Rupsha upazia in the district.
The accident took place when a human haulier locally known as Mahendra
collided head on with a motorcycle, leaving the policeman injured, said
Officer-in-charge of Rupsha Police Station Mollah Zakir Hossain, adding that
he was rushed to local health complex where duty doctor declared him dead.
Nazrul was coming to his residence after completion of his duty at
Fakirhat Police Station in the morning.
Being informed, Police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it
to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) for post mortem, the OC added.
