Jabbar for new generation’s inclusion in digital education system

DHAKA, Nov 10, 2019 (BSS) – Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa
Jabbar stressed the need for including new generation in country’s digital
technology based education system saying digital manpower will be developed
to meet the future challenges due to revolutionary transformation of
digitalization.

He was addressing as the chief guest a conference on ‘Digital
transformation of Education-2019’ arranged jointly by Bijoy Digital Software
and Netizen IT Limited at city’s Krishibid Institution Auditorium on
Saturday, said an official release.

Highlighting the necessity of creating skilled manpower for the future
digital world through digital technology based education system, the minister
said, “Manpower is one of our biggest strengths to move forward… It is
inevitable to make new generation capable for creating a knowledge-based
society capable of using digital technology in future”.

In this regard, computer programming competition for children was organized
in 2018 and 2019 and a robotic competition for children will also be arranged
in 2020, he added.

The minister hoped that every village of the country will come under 5G
technology by 2026, saying necessary steps will be taken for digitalization
in education by 2021.

The function was presided over by the president of Netizen IT Limited
Ashikuzzaman.

Chief Executive of Bijoy Digital Software Jesmin Jui spoke as the special
guest.
