Holy Eid-e-Mildunnabi observed in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, Nov 10, 2019 (BSS) – The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, marking the
birth of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), was observed in the district as
elsewhere in the country and the globe today with due respect and religious
fervor.

Marking the day, Islamic Foundation Gaibandha chalked out elaborate
programmes.

The programmes included hoisting national flag atop the office
buildings, cultural competitions, and holding doamahfil.

Apart from it, in the morning around 11 am, a discussion meeting on the
importance of the day was held at the hall room of Islamic Foundation office
of the town here on Sunday.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) M. Abdul Matin addressed the function as the
chief guest and additional police super Rahaat Gowhary and general secretary
of Bangladesh Awami League, district unit, Abu Bakar Siddique were present as
the special guests.

With deputy director of Islamic Foundation here Krishibid M. Azmal
Hossain in the chair, the function was also addressed, among others, by
Muhtamim of Shah Bangal Koumi Madrasha of the town here Mowlanal Mufti M.
Zobayer Ahmad, pess imam of Shukh-Shanti Bazar Jame Mosque Mowlana Mufti
Harun-or-Rashid and journalists Sarker M. Shahiduzzaman and Abedur Rahman
Swapon.

On this day in 570, the 12th of Rabiul Awal of the Hijri calendar,
Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) was born in Makkah of Saudi Arabia with divine
blessings and messages of peace for mankind. The Eid-e-Miladunnabi is a holy
and glorious day for the world’s people, especially for the Muslims. Almighty
Allah had sent Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) as the mercy for the whole universe.

DC M. Abdul Matin said the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had emerged as the
emancipator and rescuer in the world of sin, oppression, falsehood,
superstition and anarchy.

May the ideals of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) enlighten the lives of all and
be their guidance and there are endless welfare, success and peace for the
Muslims in following the ideals of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), the DC added.

Later, the DC distributed prizes among the winners who took part in the
cultural competition from various schools and madrashas of the district.

A large number of imams, khatibs, teachers, religious leaders and
invited persons participated in the programmes.
