Helpline ‘333’ now in Sylhet

SYLHET, Nov 9, 2019 (BSS) – Helpline service ‘333’ has been launched in Sylhet to provide information on the procedures of receiving public services which will be available for 24 hours.

Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen launched the call centre today at a ceremony at Kazi Nazrul Islam Auditorium here with Deputy Commissioner M Kazi Emdadul Islam in the chair.

“We’ve introduced the helpline to make Sylhet a digital one…Citizens won’t have to go to government offices, rather services will come at their doorsteps. Now our target is to turn Bangladesh into a developed country by 2041,” he said.

With the motto “Government information and services anytime”, this helpline will not only provide information but citizens can also lodge complain against social problems and get response from Deputy Commissioners and Upazila Nirbahi Officers, he said.

The minister also expressed his sincere thanks to Prime Minister’s ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy for taking the initiative.

Anyone can dial helpline 333 from anywhere and receive information about government offices, officers, tourist attractions, online porcha, and use of online dealing license system, e-mutation and get different social problems redressed.

The ministry also launched app-based services to authenticate documents from different authorities presented by people at home and abroad.

The ministry also developed the android, iOS and web application called ‘Dutabash’ to provide 34 different services including authentication of the birth certificates, educational certificates, marriage certificates, marital status certificates, police clearance certificates, recruitment agreements, commercial papers and documents on exports and imports.
