Sarwar Mahmud for acting against corruption
BOGURA, Nov 08, 2019 (BSS) – As part of the ACC’s ongoing anti-graft campaign, Director General of Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) Md Sarwar Mahmud has iterated his call to concerned quarters to work against corruption for ushering in a new era.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a views-exchange meeting with the members of Durniti Protirodh Committee in Sherpur Upazila of the district on Thursday evening.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Liakot Ali Sheikh chaired the meeting, organized by the Upazila administration at Upazila Parishad auditorium.
Sarwar Mahmud said as corruption erodes socio-economic fabrics, it is imperative to play an active role by all against corruption attaching priority to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resolve to root out the menace.
Additional Police Super Gaziur Rahman, Upazila Assistant Commissioner Arafat Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Sherpur Thana Md Humayun Kabir, President of Upazila Durniti Protirodh Committee Nemai Ghosh and General Secretary Abdus Sattar were present, among others.
Earlier, Sarwar Mahmud visited the Satota Store at Dhunkundi Shahnaj-Siraj High School in the upazila.
