DHAKA, Nov 7, 2019 (BSS) – Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock at the death of veteran politician and parliament member Moin Uddin Khan Badal.
In a message of condolence, the minister recalled Badal’s outstanding contributions to the country’s politics and said, “We not only lost a freedom fighter but also a dedicated leader.”
Hasan, also the publicity and publication secretary of Awami League, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Badal, the executive president of a faction of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), passed away at a hospital in Bangalore in India this morning at the age of 67.
He was elected lawmaker from Chattogram-8 constituency.
