DHAKA, Nov 7, 2019 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of veteran parliamentarian and valiant freedom fighter Moinuddin Khan Badal.
In a condolence message, she recalled with profound respect the outstanding contributions of Badal to the great Liberation War in 1971.
“The nation has lost a patriotic and dedicated politician at his death and the people will ever remember this leader who played an active role in all progressive movements of the country,” she said.
Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Badal, the executive president of a faction of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), passed away at a hospital in Bengaluru in India this morning at the age of 67.
He was elected lawmaker several times from Chattogram-8 constituency.
