Ctg railway evicts 30 establishments, recovers 4 acres of land
CHATTOGRAM, Nov 6, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Railway (BR) in a special drive
today evicted over 30 establishments built in Pahartali Ambagan and railway
colony areas in the city and recovered around four acres of land.
Executive magistrate of Chattogram District Administration Galib Chowdhury
conducted the five-hour eviction drive in cooperation with railway divisional
state and law enforcers.
“We have evicted over 30 makeshift shops, establishments and houses from
Pahartali Ambagan and railway colony areas today following the directives of
BR authority,” Mahbub Karim, divisional state officer of Bangladesh railway
eastern zone, said adding that the drives will continue to recover more
railway lands in the port city.
