Maritime ports advised hoist distant cautionary signal 1

DHAKA, Nov 6, 2019 (BSS)- Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar,
Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted distant cautionary signal
number one as the deep depression over east-central Bay and adjoining area is
likely to intensify further and move in a northwesterly direction.

The deep depression over east-central bay and adjoining area remained
practically stationary over the same area and was centered at 12 noon today
about 1005 km south-southwest of Chattogram port, 930 km south-southwest of
Cox’s Bazar port, 995 km south of Mongla Port and 950 km south of Payra port.

It is likely to intensify further and move in a northwesterly direction.

Maximum sustained wind speed within 48 kms of the depression centre is
about 50 kph rising to 60 kph in gusts/squalls. Sea will remain rough near
the deep depression centre.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay and deep sea have been
advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further
notice. They are also advised not to venture into the deep sea.
