Women’s basketball team leave for India tomorrow

DHAKA, Nov 5, 2019 (BSS)- A 10-member of Bangladesh national women’s basketball team will leave for India tomorrow (Wednesday) to play some friendly matches against West Bengal Women’s Basketball team as a part of their preparation for the upcoming 13th South Asian Games.

After playing some matches at different venues in West Bengal, the women’s volleyball team is expected to return home on November 21.

In this regards, a press conference was held on Tuesday at Bangladesh Olympic Association auditorium to disclose the team’s preparation for the friendly matches.

Bangladesh Basketball Federation (BBF) president Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin, BBF general secretary AK Sarkar and BBF member Ranjit Chandra Das , among others, were present on the occasion.

Bangladesh women’s basketball team: Tafsia Chowdhury, (team leader), Nahiyan Noor, Kazi Nafisa Sanjana, Sharmin Akter, Muslima Jahan, Mochammat Ferdousi, Sharmin Khatun, (assistant team leader) Habiba Akter Brishty and Rupa Akter.
