AL updating its constitution ahead of next council: Razzaque
DHAKA, Nov 4, 2019 (BSS) -Awami League (AL) is working to make the party constitution a modern and updated one ahead of the upcoming national council to he held on December 20-21 this year aiming at making the party more dynamic and organized.
“The party constitution will be updated as a superb one through a threadbare analysis. The constitution will be finalized in the second session of the council,” AL Presidium Member and Agriculture Minister Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque said today.
He was talking to journalists after holding a meeting of the Constitution Subcommittee of the AL’s Council Preparatory Committee at AL president’s political Dhanmondi office.
Razzaque urged the party-men to submit proposals about the party constitution, if they have any, to the committee by November 30.
Prime Minister’s Economic Affairs Adviser Dr Mashiur Rahman, AL presidium members Advocate Abdul Matin Khasru and Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) Muhammad Faruq Khan, organizing secretaries State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Md Misbah Uddin Siraj and AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Information and Research Secretary Advocate Afzal Hossain, Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, Deputy Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua and Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, MP, attended the meeting, among others.
