Mahfuzur wins gold in Junior Athletics
DHAKA, Nov 4, 2019 (BSS)- Bangladesh Navy team’s high jumper Mahfuzur
Rahman won gold medal in the high jump event of the 5th National Junior
Athletics Championships now being held at Guntur City in India.
He crossed 2.10 meter to win the gold for the country on the third day
(Monday) of the championship.
A total of five athletes of Bangladesh Navy are taking part in the
championship by the special invitation of India.
They are Saiful Islam Khan Sunny (200 meter), Zahir Raihan (400 meter)
and Rakibul Islam (800 meter) and Mahfuzur Rahman and Umme Hafsa Rumki (high
jump).
Earlier, Mahfuzur set the new national record in the National Summer
Championship bettering 2.15 meter held in August.
