Hasan condoles death of Khoka
DHAKA, Nov 4, 2019 (BSS)- Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today
expressed profound shock at the death of former mayor of Dhaka City
Corporation and BNP vice chairman Sadeque Hossain Khoka.
The minister expressed the sorrow after a press briefing at his
Secretariat office here.
He said the Foreign Ministry extended their all out cooperation to bring
Khoka in the country as he wished to come back home. But he died, Hasan
added.
He prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep
sympathy to the bereaved family.
Khoka died while undergoing treatment for cancer at a New York hospital
today at the age of 67.
On May 14, 2014, Khoka, who also served as a fisheries and livestock
minister, and his wife went to the USA with travel visa for cancer treatment.
