Youth jailed for snatching in Khulna
KHULNA, Nov 4, 2019(BSS) – A court here today (Monday) sentenced a youth
to two years jail for snatching mobile phone and cash money in 2017.
The court also fined convict Shajalal alias Jibon alias Liton, 32, son
of Zakir Hossain, residence of Noyabati Railway Colony of Khalishpur Police
Station in the city, Taka 10,000, in default, to suffer one more month in
jail.
Judge of Khulna Special Trial Tribunal Amirul Islam handed down the
verdict in presence of the convict.
According to the prosecution, Liton snatched a vanity bag along with a
mobile phone and some cash money from Soma Akhter on July 7, 2017.
Hearing screaming of the victim, local people caught the snatcher and
handed over him to police.
Her father filed a case with Khalishpur Police Station in this
connection.
