RAJSHAHI, Nov 4, 2019 (BSS) – A man killed his younger brother in
Shekher Chalk area under Boalia Police Station in the city today.
The deceased was identified as Ashraful Islam, 25, son of Sanwar
Hossain, resident of the same area, police said.
Police arrested the alleged killer identified as Nur Alam, 32, from
their house.
Officer-in-Charge of Boalia Police Station Nibaran Chandra Barman said
two siblings had a longstanding land related dispute. As a sequel to the
dispute, the duo got into an altercation this morning. At one stage, Nur Alam
hit his brother’s head with an iron rod, leaving him critically injured.
Ashraful was immediately rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital
where he succumbed to his injuries this afternoon.
A case was lodged with the police station in this connection, the police
officer added.
