Bangladesh-India ties will be strengthened: Tajul

DHAKA, Nov 03, 2019 (BSS) – Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Md Tajul Islam said today apart from harmony, the relations between Bangladesh and India will further be strengthened on social, cultural, economical and communication planes.

“The harmony between the two countries must be maintained through the exchange of language, culture, literature and open communication.” he made this comment while addressing as the chief guest a conference of the India-Bangladesh Harmony Sangsad at National Museum Auditorium.

The two-day meeting was chaired by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Estimates Chairman Vice-Principal Abdus Shaheed.

Among others, Additional Secretary of the Shipping Ministry, chiefs of different organizations and officials concerned of the parliament secretariat, Freedom fighter Manoranjan Ghosal, Principal of Tripura Legislative Assembly of India Sri Rebati Mohan Das, Minister of Agriculture, Transport and Tourism of Tripura Singha Roy, Tripura MLAs Ashish Kumar Saha and Sudip Roy Barman were also present at the conference.
